Day 1Arrival in Shanghai

Welcome to Shanghai. Upon arrival at Shanghai Pudong Airport, your local guide and driver will pick you up to hotel. Then take a free relax nearby. A night cruise on the Huangpu River is your option.

Day 2Shanghai

Meals: B,L

Your full day tour starts with a morning visit to Jade Buddha Temple. Proceed to the World Financial Center to get a bird's eye view of Shanghai. Then visit the Shanghai Museum, Old Consession Area, Shikumen Area, The Bund by Huangpu River. Enjoy a Chinese Acrobatics Show for your night option.

Day 3Shaghai/Suzhou

Today you will take a morning high speed train to Suzhou. Up arrival in Suzhou, you will firstly visit the Humble Administrator's Garden, which is the largest classical garden in this region and praised to be one of the top four gardens in China. Tiger Hill is next stop. Then vist Suzhou Silk Museum, Panmen Gate. In the evening enjoy Night Garden Show in the Master of the Nets Garden.

Day 4Suzhou/Zhouzhuang/Suzhou

With gifted location, the tranquil water town of local residence Zhouzhuang, is another highlight in this region. Today, you are driving to Zhouzhuang which is the No.1 Water Town of China. Surrounded by water, Zhouzhuang blends the unsophisticated residential houses, paved narrow lanes, stone bridges and some historical sites. Besides of experiencing the folk culture, it is suggested that you pay a visit to Shen House, Milou Tower and Chengxu Taoist Temple. Shen House is the former residence of Shen Wansan, who was the richest businessman in the 14th century of the early Ming Dynasty. The two-storey wooden Milou Tower once was a popular restaurant where some noted literators always visited. After one day's tour, we will drive you back to Suzhou.

Day 5Suzhou/Hangzhou

Sites Visited: West Lake

Morning cruise on the West Lake. Your cruise ends at Flower Harbor where you can walk along on Su Causeway and feed the fish in the Red Fish Pond to pray for the good luck. Then visit the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon and Ling Yin Temple. Continue to Meijiawu Tea Village for a traditional tea ceremony and an insight into its significance in Chinese culture.


West Lake

Day 6Hangzhou/Huangshan

After breakfast, you will have a morning relax until transfer to Hangzhou Train Station. After 3 hours high-speed train, you will arrive in Huangshan city. Our guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Enjoy an evening or night relax at Tunxi Ancient Street, one of the most famous ancient streets in China. The street has become a busy commercial street since the Song Dynasty, over 1,000 years ago. Most of the buildings still remain the original Song style and the local Huizhou flavor. You will also find many interesting local handicrafts and delicious snacks along the street.

Day 7Huangshan Yellow Mountain

After breakfast, you will set off for today's Yellow Mountain tour (a round-trip cable car is included). As one of the five most famous mountains in China, the Yellow Mountain (Mount Huangshan) is noted for its four wonders: the fantastic pines, grotesque rocks, the sea of clouds and hot springs. When you take the cable car to climb up the mountain,

you will find yourself among the magnificent scenery. The most famous attractions on the mountain are the Guest-Greeting Pine, the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, the Peach Blossom Valley, the Lion Peak, the Flying-over Rock, the Bright Summit, the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion and Xihai Grand Canyon. Afterwards, you will take the cable car to get down the mountain and go back to the City.

Day 8Huangshan/Yi County

In the morning, the car will drive you to Yixian County to visit Hongcun Village. Situated to the northwest of Yixian County, Hongcun Village is well-known for the picturesque landscape and the long history of over 800 years. The 138 buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties (14th to early 20th century) were all constructed in the traditional Anhui style, which features white walls, grey or black roofs and rising eaves.

Not far from Hongcun Village, you will come to the ancient Nanping Village. The ancient houses and charming scenery make it a famous movie shooting base since 1990's. Among all the ancient buildings in Nanping Village, the eight ancestral halls are the most splendid. They are orderly arranged along the 200-meter (219 yards) main axis of the village, known as the museum of Chinese ancestral hall. Then, you will be transferred to Shexian County to see the Tangyue Archways. Constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the seven magnificent archways are not only a group of delicate ancient buildings but also the symbols of the merits of the local people: loyalty, filial piety, chastity and righteousness. As the tour ends, you will transfer back to Huangshan city.

Day 9Huangshan Departure

After breakfast, today is free for you until transfer to the airport for your flight to next destination.

Transportation cost covers all the domestic airfare of economy class with airport tax, train tickets between the cities as the itinerary specified.

 

Transfer between airports, railway station, hotels and scenic spots for sightseeing around the cities that are specified by the itinerary with private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

 

Entrance Fees:

The final arrangement will be determined by private tour guides depends on the real-time local circumstances wheather are beyond the control of Access China Travel. We will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible. 

 

Normal Meals:

All normal meals as the itinerary specified: B = breakfast, L = Lunch, D = dinner in local  restaurant. Breakfasts are served in hotel, breakfasts have Chinese or Western style for your option; Lunches are served in carefully selected quality local Chinese restaurants with best service, your lunches will be ordered by your guide catering to your preferences within normal standard. Dinners as the itinerary specified will be also served in local Chinese restaurants. The meal quotation is normalized. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, famous rare dishes, Indian food or more, please inform us in advance. For the unspecified dinners, you will have dinner on your own. Feel free to ask your local guide for suggestions or recommendation.

 

Private Sightseeing Escort:

Normal sightseeing activities as the itinerary listed will be escorted with English-speaking guide. The English-speaking guide and driver in each city are with you throughout the entire itinerary around that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.

 

Hotel Accommodation:

Hotel service criterion: two adults share on one standard twin/double-bed room; solo traveler who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room assigned is required for extra single supplement rate. A single room is available on prior request at an additional cost; if a recommended hotel unavailable, it will be replaced by one of the same class. All hotels as the itinerary listed serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
