Train to Zhangjiajie
Tourists can reach Zhangjiajie by train from all over China but we only recommend them start from some nearby cities, such as Changsha, Changde, Wuhan, Guiyang, Nanchang, Yichang etc. If you start from the far cities, such as Guangzhou, Guilin, Shanghai, Beijing, Xian, Nanjing will waste time on the train and will have a tired travel.
Bus to Zhangjiajie
With the rapid development of tourism, Zhangjiajie's highway transportation system has grown rapid. To date, it has formed a complete transportation network which takes downtown Zhangjiajie as the center, covering 5 cities and 17 districts and counties. To avoid tire, we only recommend you take bus to Zhangjiajie from some nearby cities such as Changsha (about 3 hrs), Changde, Jingzhou, Yiyang (Hubei), Jishou etc.
Other Transports
All central scenic areas of Wulingyuan (or Zhangjiajie) are served with cable cars, environmental-protecting sightseeing cars and taxies. In addition, bamboo rafts and boats are also available in some areas such as, the Maoyan River, Mengdong River and Baofen Lake etc.
