Huangguoshu Waterfall
At a height of 74 meters and a width of 81 meters, Huangguoshu Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Asia. It is located 45 kilometers southwest of Anshun City in Guizhou Province.
It is one of the most popular sites in Guizhou Province. Its natural beauty, combined with the local Ethnic Minority groups makes it a magical place. It is the central feature of the Huangguoshu National Park. The park also includes several scenic spots; Waterfall Cluster, Water-Curtain Cave, and Rhinoceros Pool.
The Waterfall Cluster, which includes the Huangguoshu Waterfall, is composed of the Duopotang Waterfall, Luositan Waterfall, Silver-Chain Waterfall, and Dishuitan Waterfall. All of which are fed by the same river.
The Water-Curtain Cave provides visitors with a unique view of the Huangguoshu Waterfall. The cave is 134 meters in length and allows visitors to look at the back of the Huangguoshu Waterfall and on sunny days a rainbow is clearly visible in the falls.
The Rhinoceros Pool is naturally shaped like a rhinoceros. The pool is 11 meters deep and located near the Huangguoshu Waterfall. The Water-Viewing Pavilion located next to the pool offers wonderful views of the waterfall and pool.
